Optimizer box for the Gaussian timing width delta_t_us.
The upper edge is what the auxiliary grid can carry: the Gaussian broadening grid is extended by five sigma at each boundary, so its point count grows with the width, and a forward model at 50 µs already costs two orders of magnitude more than one at 1 µs on a typical eV-range grid. Any fit that frees this width uses this box, so none of them can wander into a grid the machine cannot hold.
